Lord God of heaven and earth, we have done abominable things and indeed, we deserve what has come upon us. We and our leaders have not obeyed your precepts, judgements and statutes ; neither have we done what is right in Your sight. And here we are, on the brink of destruction with a plague hovering above our heads ; destroying our loved ones and taking away the very thing that makes us human. We have relied on ourselves and science, even though science was suppose to give glory to You through its knowledge. But we have trusted in the lie, and now our science which we relied on has failed...it is failing because You are sending us a message that only You can save. So pardon us and save us according to your mercies (Amen).
