The Information Minister, Lai Mohammed, said on Saturday that the Nigeria's ministers have given 50 percent of their March pay rates towards the federal government's endeavors to battle the coronavirus pandemic in the country.


As indicated by Mohammed, the gift was composed by the Minister of State for Transportation, Senator Gbemisola Saraki.

In an announcement gave by Mohammed's office on Saturday in Abuja. Saraki was cited as saying it (the gift) was a motion of solidarity and backing for the central government's endeavors to handle the infection.

"This worldwide infection episode will require countries, landmasses and littler networks to range to contribute their assets and bolster each other. This will encourage an early goals of he issue," Saraki was cited as saying.


The Ministers additionally complimented President Muhammadu Buhari for his position of authority in tending to the COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria.

Nigeria currently has 81 affirmed instances of the coronavirus after 11 new cases were affirmed by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) late Friday
