This medium has received another complaints of physical assaults by one of the APC kwara state assembly members, Owolabi Razaq who allegedly harrashed a married woman, her children and husband at CBN quarters Ilorin over the weekend.

Mrs Rasheedat explained to our correspondents who spoke with her on phone on Sunday that the Lawmaker who's found of acting like street tout beating people up and down came heavily on her and her children and held them hostage using civil defence officers attached to him to put her , her children and husband on illegal house arrest for several hours before he was overpowered by neighborhoods

This is not the first time the thug-like lawmaker will be assaulting innocent people who is privilege to have an encounter with him in the state

This medium recalls that 28th of July 2019, one Mr Ogundokun , a tenant to Owolabi was mercilessly beaten up by owolabi and his friend around Tanke area of Ilorin for his inability to pay up his rent , an action which drew the attention of Kwara state police which summoned owolabi to explain why he had to assault Ogundokun .

Several humanitarian groups and NGO had demanded for Owolabi arrests after Ogundokun assaults


According to Mrs Rasheedat , her trouble with Owolabi started when the lawmaker, who's a new landlord in the estate saw her taking photos of her own apartment and asked her to identify herself .

Mrs Rasheedat ,who claimed to have been in CBN Quarters for over six years said although she was appalled by such demand coming from a newbie but she managed to respond to him .

It was after her response that Owolabi attempted to slap her face from his jeep claiming she didn't respond swiftly when asked to identify herself. When Owolabi saw that his hands could not get to the woman's face, he ordered his security orderly (civil defence officers) attached to him to get the woman arrested for being disrespectful.

The noise from the woman and her children while being rough handled by the civil defence officers draw attentions of the neighbors and estate security personnels who came to the scene to make peace with the arrogant lawmaker

When the neighbors and security officials manning the house saw they could not appease Owolabi , they put a call through to the speaker ,Yakubu Danladi to speak with him but he ought rightly rejected to speak with the speaker on phone claiming the speaker is a small boy to him .

Aside from the speaker , one of the colleagues of Owolabi from Ilorin west constituency also called to appeal for peace but Owolabi on hearing hus voice hung the call and told him to go to hell. The Honorable tried to call back but Owolabi refused to pick his call boasting that even the Governor cannot stop him from dealing with Rasheedat

It was at that time one of the neighbors called a female Commissioner who later called Yinka Aluko, SA special duty to speak with Owolabi , the lawmaker first refused to speak with Yinka Aluko but later accepted the calls after a hint by his PA .

Mrs Rasheedat husband and her male child who got information of the incidence arrived from outside to ask what was going on , Owolabi immediately ordered for the arrest of the boy and his dad and take them all to station. The boy on hearing such took to his heels while the officers run after him but could not get the boy.

It was Yinka Aluko who later called Owolabi to order which made his security orderly to free the woman and her family around 7pm that day

Meanwhile , the estate management has summoned Owolabi and he may possibly face sanctions by the central bank of Nigeria who's the custodian of the estate in no distant time

Owolabi Razak is the house member representing Share/oke ode state constituency at the kwara state house of assembly. He has just bought a mansion worth over 100Million naira in the estate not quite long which made him a new landlord at CBN Quarters.

How Owolabi Razak got the money used in buying such expensive property is yet to be ascertained as a serving assembly member under the APC kwara .

Although there have been report from several corners alleging that the speaker , kwara state house of Assembly, Honorable Yakubu Danladi also bought a housing property worth #85Million in Gwanara , Baruten local government area of the state. The speaker is yet to deny the allegation.

Some NGOs are on the verge of petitioning the ICPC and EFCC to beam their searchlight at the operations of kwara state house of Assembly under Yakubu Danladi over suspicions of financial recklessness and how huge properties are being bought at the instances of some of the honorables.

If you check very well you will see that the woman in question must have spoken out of proportion especially Yoruba women.
