The Government Lagos on Wednesday disclosed that one of the confirmed cases of coronavirus in the state has been evacuated to the United State of America, USA.

Prof. Akin Abayomi, the State Commissioner for Health, who made this known on his Twitter handle also disclosed that the State recorded a new case on Tuesday.

Giving an update on the patients, he wrote, “Lagos records a new case of #COVID19, 31st March, 2020.

“Total #COVID19Lagos cases is now 82.

“8 patients have so far been discharged following their full recovery.

“One of the confirmed cases, who is an American citizen, has been evacuated to the USA.”

Recall that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) had confirmed four new cases in Nigeria.

It said 3 were recorded in the FCT and 1 in Lagos State.
