Hello Nigerians,

This is to humbly add my voice to ease the nerves of Nigerians in this coronavirus trying times. Since our government at all levels are following international best practice in the fight against the pandemic, we should please be hopeful that the virus shall leave just the way it came.

If you ask me, this outbreak of COVID-19 has actually landed in our laps, the lemons to make lemonades from. Have you noticed we now have more time for ourselves and families this time around?  The stay-at-home policy has actually reunited us with our loved ones. Therefore, let us look at the good side to this outbreak and don’t fret.

Remember how we dealt with Ebola? Together, we shall deal with the coronavirus pandemic that same way.  So have faith. Our government at various levels are working hard already. If we join forces with them, which I think we should, there will be no need to panic.

This time, government needs our patriotism more than ever. Please observe the stay-at-home and social distancing admonitions of the Lagos State Government and the Federal Government.

More importantly, protect yourself by frequently washing your hands with water. Use hand sanitizer especially when you can’t get water. Cover your mouth and your nose with your elbow flexed, when sneezing or coughing. Don’t go too close to people especially if they have cough or fever. Steer clear from picking your face for now. Above all, if you notice a fever and cough that won’t go away, seek medical help quickly so you can get help promptly.

At the end of the day, we shall make lemonade out of this lemon called coronavirus.

We shall all see the sun again, I am sure.
