A big excuse not to give provisions to the citizens.
So where's the money to patronize those shops?

Lame efforts. Just beating about the bush to avoid helping the Masses.

The worst government Nigeria has ever had.
No head and no tail.

Just cancel the curfew already and let people return to work.
Those that will die will eventually catch the virus and die.

They are wasting billions while deliberately allowing the disease to spread.
People will troop out within such narrow hour that they will ignore all social
distancing and hygiene rules to avoid being caught outside.

You told people to stuck up and many did with the money they had better plans for
but now you make them look like fools for believing the government.

This should not be welcomed.

You can't contain the virus in this manner. Transmission is bound.

I keep saying lockdown or stay at home is not for this part of the world where the system doesn't work or has failed!!! shocked shocked

So the virus will be on break around that time? The government does not want to spend on relieve package as it won't be successful. Packaging less than half Congo of rice for a family of 6 to eat for 2 weeks. grin grin

The problem with Nigerian government is that they like to copy abroad forgetting that we don't have the same structures and organization.

But what difference does it now make? Does the virus become impotent within those hours?

The truth is that we can never sustain a total lockdown like in those organized countries.

If we survive this, it should call for sober reflection and a reason for us to truthfully examine the very foundation of this country.

We never ready for this country

1 step forward, 1000 steps backward.

Nothing is ever planned well in this country.

Just because they saw other countries locking down their countries after adequate arrangements have been properly made

My mumu country decided to shut down theirs without proper arrangements, no palliatives, no assessment or in-depth analysis of the problems that might arise or how it will be solved.

What measures were put in place to curtail the spread of the virus during this period?

They just shut down for shutting sake, how will they control people coming out to buy stuffs and the sellers as well?

So after 2pm, they will still carry their products back or what. What of those selling perishable products

This country is a joke

This is actually worse. Instead of having a regular flow of customers all day, there will now be a higher concentration of people in the markets in those 4 hours, all standing close, with people jostling each other, making the disease easier to spread. Then the power-drunk task force will be collecting cash for "facilitating your position on the queue", that is if they don't interact with flogging.

This is a tough problem... if you don't allow people to shop, they die of hunger... allow them, the die from disease.

Still a stupid move, I don't know if this guys don't think at all.

Right here in Lagos, Gbagada to be precise, there's compliance, markets are still open with no one at sight to even come and buy.

With this time thing they just introduced, it wiill just fester a spread of the virus more. You see more people thronging out with social closeness.

Very mumu people. Rubbish

With all the English he spoke about the Nigerian realities, na still cow sense enforcement them still wan do.

Nonsense and congiment
