Bille Kingdom In Rivers State Receives COVID-19 Materials From Donors by engrsyer(m): 9:53am On Apr 03, 2020
Bille Kingdom whom is one of the major clans of Ijaw nation in Rivers State presently in Degema LGA receives some COVID-19 Materials from indigenous Philanthropists residing both in Port Harcourt, the state capital and FCT Abuja to mitigate the Novel CoronaVirus which has become a global pandemic.

Handing over Report of Covid 19 Items:

Attendance:
1. High Chief (Barr.) Bennett Okpokiye-Dokubo, Chairman (Bille Kingdom Chiefs Council), representing the Amanyanabo(King) of Bille Kingdom
2. Chief (Hon.) Boma Dappa
3. Asatubo Igbanibo A.S.Kemuel
4. Engr. Firimabo Bob Ogunga - Chairman, Community Trust
5. Revd Joyful Job - Member, Bille Kingdom Youth Federation
6. Pastor Iyowuna Mpakaboari - President, Bille Kingdom Youth Federation
7. Mr Fibite A. Bibi, Chairman, Blle Community, Port Harcourt
8. Hon. Opukon Imoh - Councilor, Delga Ward 16
9. Mr Festus Okirie - Stakeholder
10. Dr. (Mrs) Justina, Healthcare Subcommittee Lead

In a brief ceremony, Dr (Mrs) Justina Jumbo, the Lead, Healthcare Sub Committee appreciated all those who donated the funds for the purchase of those items , and pray that God should bless them abundantly.
She handed over the following items donated by Bille Kingdom Development Committee to the Bille Kingdom Council of Chiefs this day, 1st April, 2020 at the Bille Kingdom Youth Federation Liason Office, 185 Victoria Street, Port Harcourt to assist Bille fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
The items donated included:
a. Arthemether injection 10pieces
b. Emzolin cough syrup-30pcs
c. Em-vit c syrup-30pcs
d. Emtrim syrup -30pcs
e. Paracetamol syr 30pcs
f. Orec-c tab -1 tin
g. Paracetamol tab -1 tin
h. Emtrim tab -1 tin
i. Fynale Forte tab 30 pkts
j. Ortrime F tab -30 pkts
k. Buckets with tabs-40 pcs
l. Liquid soaps -40 pcs
m. Hand Sanitizers -40pcs
n. Nose Mask (pack of 50)5 pkts
o. Hand Gloves (pack of 50) 5 pkts
p. Infrare Thermometers - 4 pcs

Chief Okpokiye-Dokubo, thereafter also presented the items to the Medical Officer, Primary Health Center Bille, Dr Fubara. He delightfully received the items but said he did so on behalf of the Medical Officer in charge of Degema Local Government Area and added that they would be judiciously used.
Dr. Fubara assured that working with a 10-man Volunteer Group, sensitization of the citizens would kick off at the weekend working in conjunction with the Chiefs Council and Pastor Iyowuna, President of Bille Kingdom Youth Federation requested Dr Fubara to let him know the number of volunteers he may need to carry out this function and it was so agreed.
Concluding, Chief Bennett O-Dokubo thanked all the parties involved in the donation and basically the Healthcare Sub- Committee which made the items available timely even at this period of the lockdown.
The event closed with a closing prayer by Mr. Ibi Herbert.

A good gesture by the indigenous people of the kingdom, self help project you dont need to wait for the government who is also begging for donations.
