I believe in ONE GOD as the supreme being of all the universe. I have no idea what he is constituted of, how many he is, and what he looks like. My ancestors called him CHUKWU, i.e the supreme spirit or CHINEKE creator, or CHINEDU the spirit who directs our lives, or CHINWENDU the spirit who owns our lives etc. Indeed there are other smaller gods in some Igbo tribes but these are inferior to the supreme being.
