SLEAZY WARRI VIDEOS : WHAT CHARLES ANIAGWU DID NOT SAY.

No job is as difficult as that of a government spokesman in Nigeria.Anything the official mouthpiece say is a lie. Our historical experience weigh heavily against leadership. Government since independence is continually seen as self serving and oppressive.

The People greet those in power with a syndrome psychologists call alienation of hate. They enjoy. We suffer. That is the mindset of the mob.

When a government representative speaks,communal folks often counter him like Shakespeare’s Cinna, the conspirator yelling “tear him for his bad verses”

Wonder no more why Charles Aniagwu, Delta state commissioner for information got kicks from sections of the social media over his views on the Warri videos.

The sordid footages of military abuses in the famed oil city as staged by two monstrous soldiers threatening rape and HIV on Warri mothers and daughters have all left us in shock.

Aniagwu did not say in a press release that the immoral video clips are not true.He only attacked the intent as false-“misrepresentation”of the will of the military and Delta state government.

His public statement was never a government thumb up for the bullish idiocy of two hellish soldiers but damnation of their immorality. Neither the military authorities nor the Delta state government could have backed the terror videos.NO!

Governor Okowa’s strong condemnation of the sacrilegious threat says it all.

So good that the hooligans had been arrested in Lagos.Warri hopes they end in hell. The Army headquarters must clean up their house. One bad soldier can bring ridicule and hate.

The information commissioner may be anything but incompetent. His voice in the official statement only soothes in sync with sanity. Calls for his resignation, impossible. He has not goofed.

We must not always believe government(whether APC or PDP) but let the human essence temper our sensibilities.

On Charles Aniagwu,let us suspend our disbelief.

May Coronavirus flee from us all.
