Some days ago, a Conspiracy theory with roots in a Russian propaganda Campaign was fueled by a celebrity known as Holden, who shared a post that 5g Network helps in spreading Coronavirus virus. This resulted to the burning of 5g masts in some places across the World and some were seen breaking their phones.

In Nigeria , a former Senator Dino Melaye is now canvassing for 5G to be removed from Nigeria.

Is this true? I will answer the question.


5G broadband is the next phase of mobile broadband that will eventually replace , or at least augment, your 4G LTE connection. With 5G, you’ll see exponentially faster download and upload speeds. Latency, or the time it takes device to communicate with wireless networks, will also decrease.

They are insinuating in the conspiracy that the Coronavirus pandemic is a distraction so that when people are home, they will quickly erect the systems. Not true.
5G infrastructure has been ongoing all over the World even before Covid-19 pandemic.

Most of these Conspiracies are carried by anti-vaccine groups on Facebook and Instagram accounts. Who says that the Vaccine will be the brain Child of Bill Gate who is trying to put chips in people’s hand to militarize against the virus . That again is not true.

In-fact , just yesterday, Bill Gates commissioned and funded seven scientific research to find a vaccine for the cure of Coronavirus, worth billions of dollars.

When the vaccines are ready , they will be given out in subsidized form by his foundation, just as he did with Polio in Africa and other underdeveloped places across the World. There is nothing like chips ( mark of the beast 666) as many religious fanatics will make you believe Bill Gate is up to .

This is no end of the World. Spanish-flu killed hundreds of thousands in 1920 , Malaria fever killed almost same amount in the 18th Century, before their vaccines and medicines was discovered. If it was today , there will be conspiracy theory to suggest that the World is at its end or that one billionaire is the mark of the beast .

Every 100 years or so, there is always one new outbreak of a new disease. This time is no different.

5G will make life easier , pay no attention to these nonsense and baseless unscientific Propaganda. It’s just ignorance on rampage fueled by bad actors; religious, business or Political.
