For those blaming the Nigerian Army for not living up to expectation, let me draw a distinction here:

The Army is made up of Nigerian citizens drawn from North and South of the country- permit me to simply put it this way. The bulk of this officers are from the core North as you may already know. A good number of these Northern Soldiers are apologetic and sympathetic towards this BH boys. Many are even affiliated to BH in a way.
This scenario has polarised our defence network, thereby casting aspersions as to whether the Nigerian Army is truly prepared to fight and defeat BH. Again, there is no political will from the government to purge the NA of evil elements and betrayals. Religion is a big problem here!

However, the southern Army personnel in the force are very ready to give their all but they are incapacitated by the betrayal of their Northern counterparts in the force. Many of these folks have lost their lives in several attacks caused by the Northern moles supporting BH.

This is also the reason why the United States of America, USA does not want to partner with Nigeria in the fight against terrorism.

Don't be too quick to right off those boys on the battle field. You'd have appreciated them if it was a direct warfare. The BH-war is a political one. The boys know this, and most of them just dey freestyle.

Well, all of a sudden the BH friend and supporter President of Chad lifted his finger to go after BH after BH slaughtered his men.


The man don't care and even look the other way as BH run in and out of his country to wreck havoc in Nigeria.

When we kill and chase them,they freely run into chase and their chadian army and collaborators let them in, they allow BH to smuggle weapons and supplies into Nigeria.

kind of true but not necessarily correct. Before it wasn't like that but 1999 each government changes the dynamic of the military. If the president is from the north suddenly all strategic posts will be held by northerners, if the president is from the south the dynamics will change and all so politicians have made all generals and some Other officers politicians.no merit anymore like b4.
