If it was 2018, Former secretary contested on his own without the support of Aregbesola and had over 70000 votes because Aregbesola and most of his ally campaigned endlessly for Oyetola (picture attached).

Aregbesola had to compromise against the wish of Party Leaders in the State because Oyetola was forced on Osun APC. He's an unpopular candidate.

This is what transpired, don't say what you don't know.
