Then why is he the Commander in Chief

27Pushing30:

So buhari so leave other affairs and enter helicopter to follow his troops during a battle? You really think this is the 18th century where kings went to fight with their men at the battlefield?

Buhari has visited the frontlines several times during his tenure.

If Buhari must go then explain why Putin did not go and lead the Russian Army in battle during the Chechen war?

You lot are really ignorant sha.

simple research would have cured your ignorance. QED

According to Tony Momoh "chadian army are very well trained and groomed in guerilla/desert warfare" so he is trying to say they are more stronger than our army?
Modified
they are not stronger but are a small army and well trained. Becos of thier smallness they are very easy to lead. Also they have good leadership. Back in the days wen Nigeria had good military leadership we even crushed the Chadian army in the 80s and Cameroonian army several times in bakasey. But the Army I see now basically a political force.

Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama, Trump....Netanyahu in Israel....none of them troops to the battlefield

The Chadian president was playing to the gallery, because his presence was not only foolhardy and selfish, but was a distraction.

I don't think Tony Momoh meant well for Buhari in that statement.

I don't trust those guys, read meaning into that statement and you will see the treachery.

They keep giving excuse for all of Bubu's failure. Of course he can lead the troops from zhi oza room. Seriously, shame has finished in Nigeria.

The only thing Bubu knows how to do well is eat, crossleg and watch Kanniwood while tooth picking cow-meat residue from his teeth.

The person that cooked up those words need to have his head washed in a stream, using Yoruba black soap, because he needs redemption. You mean that after a president of a small country with limited resources led a full scale assault in enemy territory and still rescued our own soldiers as a booty, you still found a way to cook up words to defend your ceremonial president whom I'm very sure he isn't even aware of this fact...
Well, maybe Coronavirus is now crawling into people's brain these days...

Tony Mumu is right...Bubu cannot go because BH are his boys and they are doing what he wants them to do....so the whole stuff that "we are going to defeat them" is a fig leaf!

What else can one say when responding to a useless ex-minister.

“Chadian army is a well-trained army in guerilla warfare.
Nigeria has more than 8 military colleges and many training facilities across the country, I guess they spend majority of their time training Nigerian soldiers on how to steal funds and play politics.

1.Air Force Institute of Technology
2.National War College
3.Nigeria Defence Academy (NDA)
4.Nigerian Naval Engineering College
5.Nigerian Military School Zaria
6.NASPRI: Nigerian Army School of Public Relations and Information is the foremost military public relations training institute
7.Nigerian Army School Of Military Engineers
8. Nigerian Army University, Bui located in Borno State.

They have been fighting an insurgency for years.
Well Nigeria has been fighting Boko Haram for more the 10 years by now they should have learnt something

“So, the Chadian army is a very hardened army, well-groomed in desert and guerilla warfare.
Well, we all know that the Nigerian army is more interested in roadblocks and Dubai apartments.

Chad also spent more money on arms and ammunition than any other challenges they have”, he said.
Chad national budget is $1.9 billion. Nigeria allocated $2.2 billion to the Nigeria Armed forces plus an additional $1 billion with limited results.

It fair to say either Boko Haram are Military Genius of Napoleon dimension or Nigerian army is useless and hopelessly corrupt.

However dictatorial leadership becomes we the people cannot encourage them. Nigerians do not want a dictatorship. Admiring a dictator, Idris Derby, and longing for your president to act like him, is tantamount to not just loosing fate in Democratic process but compounding this tragedy by seeming to encourage your leaders to become more of the thing that has caused your disappointment in the first place.

You mean Chad is an 18th century country because the president did the best he could to boost the morale of his troops to decimate the Boko Haram insurgents that has turned your country to their primary school playground? I agree baba buhari has other affairs to attend to, you mean the president of Chad doesn't have other affairs abi? Its understandable due to the president's age he may not be able to be with the soldiers physically in warfront but what is he doing from behind the scene to boost the morale of nigerian troops? At least the least he could have done is to make sure the handful of the bh members caught by the Nigeria army with their outdated weapons are adequately persecuted but he is even lodging them in 5 star hotels with exquisite cuisines and Schorlaship in the name of rehabilitation, haven't you seen the large number of terrorists the Chadian army caught? Didn't you see the large cache of weaponry seized by the Chadian army? Hope you saw the dead bodies of the terrorists killed by the chadian troops littered everywhere, unlike the audio "technically defeated" their Nigerian counterparts has been feeding us with, maybe you've not eaten today but the "rehabilitated" terrorists are enjoying in their various hotels while you are here defending their commander in chief. I pity any Nigerian that still believes this govt is doing anything to end this insurgency.

Shoodboi:
There is no way you can defend Buhari and APC's failure without sounding dumb. These dudes disappointed everyone who believed in them back in 2015.

This man here claims Deby was in a helicopter flying above the troops... what's stopping Buhari from flying in a helicopter hovering above his own troops?

Nigeria has been fighting BH since 2009 and the fighting intensified around 2012. That is between eight and 11 years. (For comparison, World War II was fought for six years and that was more than enough time for nations to build new weapons.)

That time was enough for us to have prepped up our army.

And before you APC rugrats start ranting about how PDP messed up, remember that PDP fought BH for three years while APC fought them for five. So, that excuse wouldn't fly.

The last statement he made sums everything up: "Chad also spent more money on arms and ammunition than any other challenges they have”, he said."

PDP was bad but APC is worse.

PDP was bad but APC is worse.

Tomorrow now you will say members of APC were once PDP members.

Nigerians have tortoise mentality. They forget easily.
Nigerians have never had it worse than the 16 years of PDP.
Even Eedris had to sing "Nigeria jagajaga"

The man gave very cogent reasons but wailers would bot recognize a cogent reason even if it was staring at them in the face.

1. Boko Haram has been attacking Nigeria from the Chad region but the Chadian army only decided to attack them because boko haram attacked their soldiers.

2. The President of Chad did not involve himself in shooting, he was in the helicopter following them from place to place.

Which of the 2 reasons above is too complex for you to understand.?

How come suddenly OBJ and GEJ have become the standard for buhari by his zombies? Thought he claimed he could do better than those. Funny enough, OBJ never had to deal with something like dis while GEJ had enough commonsense to engage a mercenary when he knew the Nigerian army lacked capacity to defeat BH. Question now is why Buhari claimed he could defeat BH in three months and when he couldn't, his zombies turn around to blame OBJ/GEJ?

Dem don come again. Trying to use both g grammar to confuse us. E no go work. Successive Nigerian governments have failed to tackle the problem of terrorism in the North East. The only reasons I can cite are:
1. Lack of Government/political will
2. Corruption within the Military ranks.

Some people try to preach to us about how difficult it is tackle terrorists but for god's sake, a country of our status should have its borders under control. The war against the Jihadists should have been pushed into the desert or lake Chad. On no account should we be receiving news of gun men overrunning communities It is totally disgraceful and like the response to welfare during the COVID LOCKDOWN, It reflects the value placed on the common Nigerian by those in power.
