Get more news updates @ https://www.fixednaijablog.com The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Custom Service, Col Hameed Ali (rtd) has appealed to Nigerians to stop consuming foreign rice because its poisonous. He made this known yesterday, at a news conference organised by the federal ministry of finance, in Abuja. Ali said the federal government had not issue licenses for importation of rice, adding that any rice seen on the streets that was not produce in Nigeria was smuggled.... This one should rest please! All the foreign rice we've been eating, who has it killed? I'm sure in his own house and in the villa they eat foreign rice steadily so why demonise a product just to promote a local alternative? It's enough that the rice has been banned and borders closed to check smuggling but why call the rice poisoned? |
