As soon as dangote refinery went to work, petroleum price crashed in Nigeria. What if we have 10 of such private refineries?

Has Dangote refinery commenced operations?

The fall of PMS price has nothing to do with Dangote refinery

The prices are dropping because the price of crude oil in the international market has tanked from $60 per barrel to $27 per barrel since the coronavirus pandemic broke out.

So it's only natural that FG reduces the price of PMS in Nigeria

Please be guided

I only hope this can help our government realize the importance of building refineries here in this country rather than the gains of few elite.

Also, the need to remove our total dependence on crude oil when we have numerous minerals and agricultural produce to cash out from.

Well, this can only happen in an ideal nation where the “leaders” are thinking well.

Prices could b reduced from #123 further within the prices of 5 & 8# meaning it could b sold for like #115 per litre. And not #8 per litre. Is this hunger or comprehension problem??

It is sustainable now, but if oil rises to n50 per barrel, we will be paying n300 per litre for fuel.

With its attendant inflation

As it is, the price could even go lower than we have a lot of crude oil cargo just lying there nobody’s buying really hence the people taking it outside to refine it would be forced to reduce the money and may later stop because the business won’t boom like it used to before. Our crude oil May later be used to fry akara

As this may sound like good news we also need to look at the future impact, the country needs to diversify quickly, oil firms and oil servicing firms are getting burned right now that sector may also likely face massive lay off of staffs. I hope somethings done fast

We'll realise how naked we are in due time. Oil dependence is NIGERIA'S GREATEST MISTAKE.
