The Presidential Task Force on COVID- 19 has said the number of confirmed cases of the new coronavirus would have been significantly higher without the lockdown order.
The National Coordinator in the fight against COVID -19 , Dr Sani Aliyu, who appeared on Sunday Politics , a live programme of Channels Television , noted that the it was important for people to observe the lockdown for as long as it is in effect .
Aliyu said , “ Some of the modeling studies we have done show that if we hadn ’ t put through the lockdown, we probably would have had much higher numbers .
“ Certainly , if you look at Europe and North America, the numbers doubles every three to four days and this is not what is happening in Nigeria.
“ So, to a certain extent, we are doing something right in this country. The numbers remain relatively low compared to the trend in other countries. ”
He also lauded those in states unaffected by restrictions who were also observing it .

It is doubling overseas because they are testing people so that they can have a near accurate number of what they are dealing with.Hence why the lockdown is effective for them.

You cannot be telling people to be on lockdown and you are not testing enough people.

Thr infected are higher than the official released ones so we cannot say that for a fact.
Test more people so that we will know where we stand but for now we don't because our testing rate is slow and wack.

What is the essence of a lockdown when the government is find it hard to play it's part.
What has been saving Germany,Singapore and South korea is the fact that they are testing. They trace, test and treat people so the effect of a lock down can be seen.

Lol... so real. The one that pain me most is that phony cash transfer to the poor. They denied hustlers food/money and gave election voter in Zamfara 20k

The term "contain the virus" is too vague and open to interpretation so Buhari should take a break from chewing bread and use his mouth for what he is being paid for.
