But why the government can't voluntarily pay for the returnees ticket... is that how its done in other country.

Even Americans are paying for their trips. Why would govt pay. This is not an humanitarian evacuation.

If it's real Corona virus and not the malaria they treating in Naija, they better leave them there.

UK health system is top notch. If they take that flight, then they should be ready to face what comes after.

Nigerian doctors will only prescribe the usual, Antibiotics, pain reliever and blood tonic.

That's the cure for all ailments in Nigeria. Even HIV/AIDS.

Please don't quote me, I am not feeling fine.
U just jump from thread to thread posting nonsense even at 2am when normal humans are asleep. No wonder ur brain doesn't function as it should. Give it a break and get a life.

Wickedness. You are denying your people. If one one of them is your blood, will you say likewise. They should airlifted and kept in isolation in Nigeria before they are let go.

I dont know how selfish some people can be.
I live in rome where hundreds die everyday,
i planned coming back for Easter after i missed Christmas but since i heard the virus is in Italy i canceled my plans of comin, because i cant imagine being the one to infect my family and friends in Nigeria.

THOSE PEOPLE SHOULDNT BE ALLOWED TO COME BACK O cos that country with evil leaders will crumble if this virus spreads seriously.

B4 coronavirus i'm sure their families would be begging them to come back, na now dey wan come.

Nigeria needs to halt all re-admissions into the country at the moment.

Let everyone remain where he is!

-Until you find yourself stranded or in knots abroad, you will not understand that Nigeria is a scam. Unfortunately for this chaps, their maintenance funds must have finished or seriously depleted yet Nigeria wants them to pay for their flights back home. When we say, Nigeria doesn’t belong to all- this is it!

The Americans ferried out of Nigeria a few weeks back also had to pay for their flights, so your point is?

Because government knows how Nigerians can be. 1 million people will register to go home. Dem don see freebie awoof.

These 1 million people will not practice social diatancing thereby potentially infecting about 3million or more people. The pandemic will create a tsunami if care isn't taken.Government knows what its doing bro.

I am sure you wouldn't have a problem with them coming home if you have siblings among them

Because the pandemic hasn't reached epidemic level in Nigeria, the government should bring them home and isolate them.

While they are in isolation, they should be given proper treatment. After all, this government keeps telling us that they are treating and discharging Nigeria's Covid-19 patients, meaning they are doing a great job with the virus.

If Nigerians want to come home, they should be brought home. Yes, that's actually one of the ways you win respect among other countries. It shows you have regards for your citizens.
very true.

See this one that wants to be comparing NHS with FMoHN or NCDC by the end of this month, NHS would be carrying out 100,000 covid-19 tests per day and your NCDC is just aiming for what, 5000?(Thank God you heard your presido say it yesterday).
You better be sure of what you're saying before you just come on here to yarn trailer loads of bollocks

That’s not how it’s done in all cases...
Most US citizens have had to pay for their tickets to return to the US.

Saw the Minister on TV asking NASS for possible funds for this...
Nigeria is NOT a rich country, but should at least be able to help ‘facilitate’ citizens’ returns.

For example, if a US citizen is stranded abroad (not necessarily for Covid)...
The US State Dept will buy a ticket, but void his passport upon return and only issue a new one after he repays.

Yes, that is how it is done in other countries. Everyone is responsible for paying their way back.

Nigerians and their entitlement mentality!!! No country will work if citizens get everything FOC.

Most people that get the virus in Nigeria coming from abroad get it from airport and inside the plane. The best thing is to stay home where you are. But some idiots will still be travelling up and down. When community transmission would start, it would be inside the buses, cars, markets.
Those 10asymptomatic would have mixed with other Nigerians coming home at the airport and infect them if not for the compulsory test. People will still not hear word

Just add them to the present number of cases in Nigeria. And that should be 364.
any person who commit suicide or die of hunger must also be added to the list as long as it is this corona period.
