The Coronavirus Presidential Task Force (TFP) has revealed why it recommended President Muhammadu Buhari to extend the blockade.

Chief Mustapha, secretary of the federation government (SGF) and president of the PTF, revealed that the council had recommended the extension of the blockade for the survival of Nigeria.

Mustapha made the revelation at a joint national TFP briefing on Tuesday in Abuja.

According to the SGF, “The presidential program addressed several crucial questions of interest for our survival as a nation.

"After a very thorough evaluation of the recommendations of the PTF, the president approved the extension of movement restrictions in the states of Lagos and Ogun as well as in the FCT for an additional period of fourteen days starting Monday, April 13, 2020.

"Such a monumental decision has been taken with great effort and we continue to appeal to the Nigerians to show great understanding, respect orders, respect social distance, maintain a high level of personal hygiene and respiratory, stay at home if they are not convincing and generally take responsibility for playing their individual role. " in this war. "

Recall that Buhari extended his detention yesterday in the state of Abuja, Lagos and Ogun in order to fight against the spread of COVID-19.

Nationally, Buhari extended the blockade by 14 days.
