Around 8.00pm last night in Ughelli, 3 armed young men attacked a POS cashpoint vendor stationed close to Otovwodo Junction. The female vendor was shot in the leg and two of the boys managed to escape with their loot. The unfortunate third lad was apprehended and burnt alive this morning at Otovwodo Junction.

It is not far-fetched that the desperation of these youths is as a result of the looming famine inherent in these trying times. According to Dan Ohagwa, these developments if not properly checked, might culminate into an unwanton catastrophe at the climax of this calamitous Freytag's Pyramid.

In another development, hundreds of protesters convened at Olympia, Sapele to contest the curfew imposed on Deltans by the State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa. Sadly a young boy was shot by security operatives on his frail butts.

Emeka Aghanenu opines that it might get so bad to the extent that people would barter their household wares (if not stolen) for food items. There is no doubt this pandemic is a global disaster but the Federal and State governments must make extra efforts to alleviate it's citizens to intercept and inhibit a chaotic cataclysm.

It is really sad that our people resort to jungle justice in issues like this. There is no justification for it whatsoever as the culprits should be submitted to law enforcement agents. But these criminals are heartless dare-devils. Sometimes it seems like they deserve it because they are well aware of the consequences of their actions. Its just totally sad anyway.

Those that killed him should be investigated. They didn't want him to name other two that escaped. It was criminal game plan
