How Social Media Has Helped People In Pandemic Of The Virus COVID-19? by Irfan069: 5:11pm On Apr 15, 2020
In times of great concern about the growth of the COVID-19 pandemic, social media has taken positive action for their community to earn increased credibility. Through social media, COVID-19 has suddenly changed people's habits and routines. With its arrival in different regions of the world, many brands have mobilized to take action and avoid contagion, promote a positive impact and help face one of the greatest collective crises in human history.
In the Pandemic of the Corona Virus, TikTok has deliberately attempted to remove videos that are misleading, leading to anxiety disorders, highlighting in a statement that it "would not allow misinformation that could cause harm to the community or to society at large." Facebook has also decided to remove the posts with dubious health advice. It has also been an important source of verified information. Journalists from around the world have used Chinese social media to better understand the situation and have compiled and published (link in Chinese) verified reports. The volume of personal testimonies and information circulating every day about the fundamental truth in China has also pressured the Government to release more detailed information about the crisis. Social media posts about the coronavirus may also be useful in the future to detect and track outbreaks of other diseases. Several services already use these techniques to help those responsible for public health monitor the evolution of the coronavirus.
Reduction of Isolation
An increasing number of people will be joining those who are already self-isolating, so now might be a good time for them to make a connection through social apps. If a person isolates himself, use of social app strikes a balance between having a routine and help in making each day is a little different. Thus, a person might end up feeling like he just spent two weeks quite productive and could check his/her to-do list or read the favorite wanting to read.

Assistance by Social Apps
WHO has been working with Facebook to target specific populations and demographics with ads that provide important health information and precautionary measures and he has even wanted to approach the most influential people (influencers) in Asia to try to control disinformation.

Google has launched free access to the premium features of Hangouts Meet, its video conferencing platform corona virus-related information, until July 1, 2020. Resources that were previously only available in the Enterprise version are now accessible to all users of the platform. In its premium version, it is possible to gather up to 250 people in the same chat, in addition to being able to broadcast for up to 100,000 viewers.
Facebook announced that it will implement a coronavirus information center on the social network, with news from reliable sources, tips on how to stay healthy, as well as updates from health agencies. This functionality will first be available to users in Italy, France, Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Other countries will receive the resource in sequence. In addition, Workplace, Facebook's paid corporate product, will be available for 1 year free of charge to governments and emergency services that need to deal with remote work during the coronavirus crisis.
