It's a pity seeing what this country has been reduced to.
How can a country the size and population of Nigeria test these few and boast of their readiness to fight the virus?
Our leaders are curses upon the bountry.

All i need to say is that - All lives matter. No one needs to be revered in death more than anyone else. The gallant soldiers that their deaths could have been avoidable have been left to die without empathy from even the people in government but one man dies in govt and is automatically given a heroic farewell; even breaking all protocol in his burial.

Some people even said the man lived a good life. It is well.

Seriously d NCDC and d govt haven't really done enough to take advantage of d lockdown period... D lockdown period is supposed to have helped dem ramp up daily testing and sort out those who came in from countries being ravaged by d virus.. Other serious countries are testing more than that number daily... Lagos alone should b testing thousands daily but yet 7000 in a country of over 200 million have been tested nationwide. Dis country is jus a shame really

Yet some people are praising the President, State Governors and the Covid-19 handling people for doing a great job, when they are one of the worst performing.

Wike should stop all the noise and reach into the coffers of the State. All resources of the State should be channeled to fighting this virus if President Buhari does not want to assist States in building a frontline defence against the spread.

Baffled at how poor we are acting. We had enough time to stay ahead of the virus.

English comprehension. He said Testing Capacity which is not the same thing as actual testing done.
A 1500 Testing capacity means that if they have up to 1500 people that needs testing, they are able to test all of them in a day. However, there is no where in the world where testing is done randomly. It is only if you show symptoms that you get tested. Or do you expect Government to start dragging people out from their houses to go get tested?

Truth is Nigeria is never serious about anything serious. We have learned men over the various institutions and common sense will not tell them to increase the number of testing in the affected states. The are waiting for someone to have a symptom for the virus before the can be tested by which time the person must have passed it on to others unknowingly .Common sense cannot tell them to make use of the chart to identify most affected area in the hot spot states and increase testing massively .
South Africa has done over 100k test and we are still rationing test in Nigeria.
It will be a miracle if this economy reopens by end of this month
Lord Jesus please save your children from this pandemic

Who in his right mind had the conscience to put up this shameful report. This government is a monumental failure. If we just tested 7000 and cases are 500, then we already have 15000 carriers. On a geometric proportion, may be more.

Countries have started offering free voluntary test for their citizens to accelerate opening of the economy. In a period like this, government cannot avoid to spend. Although resources are scarce but remember, most of the spread you see today is caused by asymptotic people ( people who have the virus but do not show any sign). These group of people are the ones that would be identified in large scale voluntary testing, that way they do not create a large wave of second pandemic when the lockdown is over.
