Do you know how sensitive that post is? Do you expect Buhari to give that position to someone that he cants confined in?

Who was the Chief of GEJ? Was he a northerner?

All the likely candidates are older than Nigeria.

I'll like to think that with their old age comes wisdom to lead us aright, but the opposite is the case.

It appears that stupid people also grow old.

How about someone like Akinwumi Adesina? Must nepotism be number 1 n Nigeria?

Akinwumi Adesina is a proven administrator. He would do better than all those people listed up there

Akinwunmi Adesina should leave his position as MD of African Development Bank and become Buhari's CoS. Are you mentally okay?

For the credentials, I don't know much.

But if it is based on firmness, honesty, focus and standing up for the truth no matter whose ox is gored, Hamid Ali perfectly fits the socket.

If it is however on the basis of scholarship and experience, Adamu Adamu is the right peg.

I think Akinwumi Adesina is just too special a fellow to be in this government. Let him just continue as the president of AFDB for now!

The position of Chief of staff is given to the person you trust the most. You can't give someone who is Alien to you.

Nepotism bawo? Did you check the meaning or just like to throw words?

1. Akinwunmi Adesina should jettison a country-contested position as President AFDB and come a vie for COS? Who (both country and individual) in his right senses does that?
2. You have forgotten that this same Akinwunmi Adesina not only enjoyed PMB's support to get to the position, he actually put Atiku on our Presidential Jet to go get South African (Africa's next strongest bloc) to vote for him.

i doubt if that reasoning is logical enough. President of Afdb to CoS to the president. That is a setback

Akinwumi Adesina is a proven administrator. He would do better than all those people listed up there

Since we are listing profiles here, let me drop the profile of Akinwumi Adesina for those who do not know

* Akinwumi Adesina is the President of the African Development Bank

* He was Vice President of Policy and Partnerships for the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA)

* He attended a village school in Oyo and went ahead to graduate with a Bachelors in Agricultural Economics with First Class Honors from the University of Ife, Nigeria (1981) (Note: A first class from OAU is no joke)

* He was the first student to be awarded this a first class in that department in OAU

* He has his masters from Purdue University in Indiana

* He has a PhD (Agricultural Economics) in 1988 from Purdue where he won the Outstanding PhD Thesis for his research work.

* He worked at the Rockefeller Foundation since winning a fellowship from the Foundation as a senior scientist

* His short time as Minister of Agriculture in Nigeria created the agricultural revolution we are enjoying today.

* He is the current President of the African Development Bank

I am tired of typing.

What kind of demotion is that? From president of Africa development Bank to chief of staff.

Kashim Shettima will be picked ....the guy played an important role in Buhari becoming president. He planned the whole "missing chibok girls" saga when he was governor of Borno which in turn gave Jonathan a lot enemies and made him look incompetent in the face of Nigerians and the world. That kidnap destabilized Jonathan and gave Buhari an upper hand in winning that elections
u know what's up,the whole kidnap thing was done to rubbish Jonathan n due to the fact that he was a weak administrator they were able to scale through.

He might get the job though cos he has proven to b a loyal guy to their course

Leave all of them to be guessing, he can even make Aisha the COS, I think that's virtually the only post that no one can question who it's given to.
No credentials needed, just like the person and gbam, he is appointed.
Just that, only a smart fellow can get one that will help his administration to govern well
