Okay since you've gone there let me ask you. If you're made the President of this country today how would you make sure people put in the work to build this country and not think of going to serve in the united states military??

I don't have advanced degrees in economics or management so I don't know. But what I know is that if all the talented people run away and leave the affairs of the country to less qualified people to run, at the end of the day when they start harrasing your people and telling them to go back to their country they won't have much to go back to.

We can only rise if all us take responsibility and contribute our equal share in the task of nation building, so even when we leave our shores and go to other countries for any reason the respect will be there.

not in the generation of our present leaders...aren't you in this country...do you know so many dreams that have been wasted? as @ last year do you know how mAny graduates that applied for DSSC n how many were chosen? N over there in USA you don't need to have a BSC. just a high school degree for a citizen ..and for a non citizen you just need to be in the country as @ the time of applying for the sevice n it's automatic greencard after completion of training......it's all about better life...if all this can be implemented in Nigeria I bet you no one will want to travel ....There age limit is 38,49

But if the system is going to change for the better, someone has to start from the ground up and endure all this rubbish so that he / she can pave the way for others.

You can't change a corrupt institution from the outside, but you can do your best and implement positive change from the inside when you get there.

And about that automatic green card , I don't think it's still valid because I saw a Mexican officer whose family was deported while he was on deployment overseas.

I know Nigerian graduates who have been seeking for employment for the past 10 year, yes! So, with NDA, he doesn't need to seek for employment. He might even finish the 5 years and some of his graduate colleagues wouldn't be gainfully employ; though, I don't pray that should be their portion, but that's reality of Nigeria scenario
well said brother

Even when people were not travelling out of the country the way we see it today, has their been anytime a more qualified person is president of this country?? Okay you may argue that Yar'adua and Jonathan were both qualified but what kind of leadership did we see??

Look Timi, this is a country that prides itself as the giant of Africa but yet, people would rather elect their leaders along ethnic and religious lines. So tell me how you'll get a more suitable and qualified person to run the country??

I've vowed never to vote again in this country until the system is completely I.T driven/electronic.

In conclusion, anyone that has the opportunity to travel out for greener pastures to better the lives of his/her family, born and unborn should do so with immediate effect.

pls am not trying to say there is no hope in Nigeria but not with this present set of leaders we have ...imagine in this Lagos state, for 3weeks now everybody is on lockdown, now the state is now selling face mask to its occupants, where do you want the less privileged to see money to buy it...is this the kind of society you want to waste your talent and years on. .it's better you go and hustle overseas n come back n try to make a change if God willing.
About the greencard ...it's 100% sure ..cause this is what my colleague @ the university used in acquiring his over there..he is not even an active officer oo he is a reserve office in the Army over there ..just reaching like a year and half n see he is not a commisioned officer. ..he graduated with a thirdclass over here n went for post graduate over there. ...where will you work with a thirdclass certificate here without connection? but over there it's still something that can be used to strengthen you for greatness ..Google the salary of a specialist in USA ARMY collect that in a year n return to Nigeria n let's start from there.....

my younger brother got admission to state University when he was 16 yrs, so after he graduated from the University, he applied for Nigeria Defense Academy, he was among the successful that was admitted last year, now he is terma one( 100 level), a Navy cadet. pls will he regret making this decision. pls forget about my English.

You shouldn't be asking this question by now.

By now you must have an idea of what his future holds.

Did he tell you that he has entered a gate into "Generalship" ?

My advice

Tell your brother to remain disciplined in and outside school.

He should really learn all the ethics being taught.

He should remain focused and strong.

Bros. Yours is to always remember him in prayers.

Congratulations to your entire family and generation.

HeyHey:
Them say Buratai don extend am ooo embarassed.

Plus NDA is now 4years for Navy and Airforce, so instead of doing a 5th year, they hang midmanship straight away. The 4 years is 4years oo, no delay. This was due to the fact that after training and becoming mid men in 5th year, on return to NDA for POP (just 3weeks period) some of them were withdrawn.
