Ok, so was the body claimed by the family for private burial? The answer is an emphatic NO.
The man.was buried by the govt , the burial was performed by govt employees in protective suits. Some admirers came to see the burial ceremony but he was buried by the govt.
I can guarantee you that the dead Muslims among the other coronavirus dead are also already buried by the govt with family members present. No Muslim will allow their dead to be stored in a refrigerator. None

The only reason this was televised and it's now a big story is because the man was the chief of staff to the President. If he was a an ordinary Joe, this will not even be a story.

Let me ask you a question and kindly answer as truthfully as you can.
What do you think has happened to the bodies of other Muslims that have died in Nigeria from coronavirus?
In fact, if I'm not mistaken, the first coronavirus death in Nigeria was also of a Muslim from Edo I think and he was buried on the same day (not sure of this fact but I think I'm right).
What the govt said is that, a body will not be released to the family for burial. That does not mean a body cannot be buried with govt supervision.
Many many have been buried even before Kiary.
Many many many have been buried al over the world, in UK, US and many other countries with rules and regulations.

Its just unfortunate how we sensationalize everything, it's simply pathetic. This man caught coronavirus in the line of duty to his father land and people are happy. Now I can see why those in power don't give shit about the ordinary man in the street. Who will give his life for a country where some fools will rejoice at their death while serving the country? By most account, he caught it while in Germany. What was he doing in Germany? he was in negotiation with Siemens on ways to improve the Nigerian power distribution system. Even if he didn't catch it on official assignment, he's still entitled to a State burial as the Chief of Staff.

It clearly states that the man was buried already. Many other ones have also been buried.
