The world is on a temporary lockdown mode, no thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, and governments here and elsewhere are pressing forward with strict measures to keep their citizens safe. However, not much is being said about how to have fun at home with restrictions on movement being what they are.
While it is easy to understand that you wouldn’t be able to do some of your favourite activities because of the lockdown, we have provided a list of activities you can do to still have fun at home.

1. Set up a cinema: Since you can’t go to the movies, why not bring the movies to you? This is the time to get creative with what you have seen in cinemas to make up your own cinema. All you need to do is set up your room with the right ambience by turning off the light bulbs, get some snacks, and make sure you have a rich collection of great movies to choose from like action, sci-fi, romance, history, and other genres.

2. Learn a language: If you have been looking forward to adding one more language to the list of languages you understand, this is the right time to get it done. It helps that there are so many apps and websites to choose from, most of them free. As soon as you settle for one or more languages - French, Spanish, Mandarin, German, etc., stick to a daily schedule that works for you and keep learning. It’s supposed to be fun for you.

3. Take yoga lessons or exercise: While you are indoors, it is essential to keep your body and soul active, and one of the ways you can do that is to learn yoga or exercise. Yoga and exercise guarantee physical and mental health, among other benefits. There are loads of videos and images to help you with these activities.

4. Read books or set up a virtual book club: Both activities provide fun and knowledge at the same time. It’s even cooler if you are doing it with a group of friends who love to read too! The best way to go about this is to create a reading group, agree on a book, and set targets on discussing insights and learnings via video conferencing. In terms of value, this activity is capable of improving your wealth of knowledge base.

5. Test your ‘might’ in the itel Says Stay Safe campaign: Created by the African smartphone giant, itel Mobile, this activity is sure to be fun for you. The smartphone for everyone brand is making this lockdown season fun by giving out cash prizes and other gifts on their social media platforms. All you need to do is answer a series of questions to win! So, if you want to have fun this season and get rewarded for it, this is the top way we will recommend to you. It is worth trying your minds on.

Be sure to follow the brand on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram @itelMobileNG to participate in the campaign before it gets too late.
