It is a drink developed by the Malagasy Institute for Applied Research (IMRA) of the African country and made from mugwort and endemic plants for “curative and preventive” purposes.

It might seem like an occurrence but it is not. Madagascar’s President Andry Rajoelina has announced the marketing of a “traditional remedy” made up of medicinal plants as “curative and preventive” against the coronavirus .

An announcement that causes little skepticism since to date there is no vaccine against COVID-19 and no effective treatment per se .

However, the Malagasy president has indicated through his Twitter account that this drink, called ‘Covid-Organics’ and which has been developed by the Malagasy Institute for Applied Research (IMRA), will “be distributed free of charge to compatriots more vulnerable and sold at a very low price to the rest ” after some initial” hopeful “clinical tests.
