So North East Development Commission is receiving #160B?

Any southern governor or person supporting this useless APC government is a fool forever.

Rubbish, one Nigeria my ass.
I think the North should be responsible for their misfortune. Southerners are not the one responsible for Boko Haram, bandits, high poverty level ravaging their land and underproductive of human resources. While will the federal government be using resources of the south to develop the North, which kind useless federalism is this for God sake..

Thr question is why is the cost of revenue collection by Revenue Agencies and allocation to NEDC lumped together and not separated?
Ask the mischievous publisher of the story.

The Niger Delta gets their allocation which is high compared to non oil producing states, they also receive 13% derivation, ministry of Niger delta and NDDC. I still do not agree it is fair but bearing the current circumstances of unitary government we practise, the government has tried.

This is a newspaper report not a direct FG report and what will the FG gain by trying to cause trouble for itself? Please be reasonable.

On the contrary you should!

The Niger Delta 's allocation is not in anyway high!

Getting 32 billion out of over 500 billion from your resources is NOTHING!

The Oil Producing States received ₦38.751 billion as 13% derivation revenue while the cost of revenue collection by Revenue Agencies and allocation to North-East Development Commission (NEDC) was ₦160.408 billion.”

I don't understand this statement..
Can someone help me to explain

Who told you the entire N500b is from oil and gas, and how did you arrive at N32b? Delta state alone receives around N20b monthly.

You want fiscal federalism but that is currently impossible as politicians who promise to get it done never do.

Oil producing states shared N39b as added income for producing oil and gas.

Cost of revenue collection is salary and overhead cost of government income generating agencies like NNPC, DPR, CBN, FIRS, NIMASA, NCS, NPA etc. NEDC also received their allocation from the N160b. In essence NEDC and the agencies listed above shared N160b.

I even make it conservative, oil and gas revenue is more than 500 billion out 700 billion.

I wonder what you interest is in distorting facts.

The Niger Delta does NOT in any way get much. This propaganda on behalf of the powers that be is unnecessary.

@Zendinho, the oil money they are sharing now was realized 3months back. The impact of the fall in oil price in Nigeria will felt later after three months.

Oil and gas revenue cannot be over 500 billion when derivation ,of 13% is 38billion.it means total profit from oil and gas is between 320billion to 360 billion approximately.under buhari, profit from non oil sources is over 50,%

No, the criminal, illegal Nigerian state shares revenue as they wish. Official figure says oil accounts for over 70 percent of revenue but direct and indirect oil revenue is well over 90 percent of Nigeria's revenue.

Thanks for the information. Please, what is ur take on the state of affairs of the economy in subsequent months with regards to the fall of both d price of oil per barrel and the demands in the world market as a result of the pandemic? Is there going to be an increase in accrued money to b shared in subsequent months? What economic advice do u have to share to us? Thanks.
Re: FAAC Shares ₦780.926bn For March 2020 by JiokezOguguo(m): 11:44pm On Apr 23, 2020
*My assertion to this economically;*

The nation use the price of oil as the benchmark.
Moreso, the oil price crash is a welcome development to me. Restructuring is a key recipe for achieving full diversification. Let each state look inward, identify their comparative advantage and independently explore their resources. Any state that cannot function independently without federal government support should go into merger with others. Abuja cannot continue to decide which state develops or not. Oil has the only resource holding the polity of the country from collapsing, now is has become next to nothing in value.

Looking at it generally going by the state of the economy and to crown it all, there will be a trickle down effect on the prices of commodities. Oil or fuel price will go up.

If care is not taken, there is every possibility that this will adversely and economically affect our next national budget.

*Restructuring is the way through*

Good night

I have the answer.
it is simply to deceive people so that when questions are raised, some will start defending and abusing others as is already happening on his thread.
if not for mischief, why will the two ne lumped together.
As my dad used to say, there is nobody that is doing something wrong that doesn't know that what he is doing is wrong.
No need for this long self-imagined epistle
The writer simply moduled up the Agencies and NEDC together with no comma.

As someone stated earlier.
Oga the N160b is the figure covering cost of revenue generation(FIRS, NCS, NNPC, DPR AND etc) and NEDC.

This report is poorly written with conflicting figures and intent to deceive
