The decison was affirmed by the 36 Governor of Nigeria at a meeting yesterday (Wednessday)

36 Governor took the decision to curb any further infection that may arise due to interstate movement.

The Governors exteded the lockdown by two weeks. Chairman of the Forum, Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State, in a Statement said inter-state Lockdown had become neccesary due the continuous rise of number of vitims to the virus.

Governors also set a regional COVID-19 committees at the regional level headed by the health commisioners.

Incrising number of affected health worker was an issue raised at the meeting
