Kano Residents Storm Market For Ramadan Shopping (Video) by TA4TA4: 2:38am On Apr 24, 2020 |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDNcRupmDWg Following the resolve of Kano state government to relax the the ongoing lockdown from 6am-12pm for Thursday 23rd April only, to allow citizens stockpile foodstuff and other items in preparation for the Ramadan period; a video has surfaced online, showing mammoth crowd at an undisclosed market in kano who seized the opportunity to go buy things in the market. Though the lockdown is to continue today, Friday 24 April, 2020, many Nigerians having viewed this video are scared on what damage must have been done because of the lack of all safety procedures by the shoppers. Kano had declared a lockdown last Thursday to curb the spread of the novel COVID-19 in the state. As of filing this report, Kano state had recorded 73 cases, with 1 death. 5 Likes 1 Share

I felt nothing but disgust watching that video. Even without the Coronavirus, the whole place looks so unsanitary. It is a shame the governor lacks the balls to stand by the lockdown policy, buckling to religious pressure. These people deserve their own country. 249 Likes 16 Shares |

This lockdown strategy has completely failed in Nigeria. Our government didn't consider our unique environment before adopting it. You cant do this in the midst of debilitating poverty, illiteracy, corruption and leadership cluelessness. It just won't work. They should simply allow Nigerians to go about their businesses. Perhaps when shit really hits the fan, everyone would take necessary steps to protect themselves by themselves. 82 Likes 10 Shares |

Jostoman:Are they into competition. How can you compare educated illitrates to Lagos.Look at that pictures, how many of them are even wearing face mask?.The governor is a devil incarnate.the only thing he is after is 15billion, wasting money for something you can reduce the load.See how they spend the little money we have. The 10billion given to Lagos State is big enough to build hospital international standard, but, they rather spend it due to their carelessness for looting etc. 80 Likes 7 Shares |

Just open the country The entire premise of social distancing has been defeated Let's try herd immunity while protecting the most vulnerable and make nose masks compulsory 6 Likes 1 Share |

North don't fear death as we do in the South but lets be honest with ourselves, the very educated Lagosian came out to execise together amid the lock down, winners chapel ran a full scale service, and as a matter of fact People came out for easter in the East after eastern governors relaxed the lock down for Easter . 16 Likes 1 Share |
