There was joy and jubilation in Oyo State today as workers in the State received their April salary on the 24th of April 2020.

Sources close to some civil servant in the State confirmed that they go the alert this evening as against the usual practice of 25th of every month.


With Ramadan starting today and the need for most workers to get food stuff in the house in case there will be an extension in the restrictions going on the state, workers in the State have a course to be happy indeed.

The state Governor has also directed that 100 tailors in the State be employed to produce 1 million face mask, this is to ensure that workers and people in the State protect themselves against the scourge of the COVID-19.

In 2020 I still find it embarrassingly funny that people jubilate the paying of salaries some days before the end of the month.
It's just so embarrassing and seeing a state governor,a supposed leader doing and celebrating it makes it all the more ridiculous.
If you receive your salary 24th of a month,next month you still receive it on 24th,same 30days.
If u also receive it earlier you also start your expenses earlier,so it doesn't make any sense at all.
Pay it 13th,10th,24th,it still falls down to every same monthly salary,30-31days.

Until this governors pay June salary then I will take them serious but I trust my able working wonderful governor ifeanyi okowa to always put smiles on Delta state workers faces
