Everybody is now using this lockdown as an excuse for not making money.

Because it is true...unless you are in certain businesses like food, telecom, etc, one cannot make cash now.

And don't expect things to get better once lockdown ends. The world economy is still not at full speed.

Knowledge brings forth the truth and when you now the truth

The Bible said it shall set you free.

The obvious truth may be discomforting but take it.

Were Christians not locked down during Lent? Were they paid salaries then, even up to Easter? You people have started again, stoking bigotry. What's so special about Muslims being locked down? Let them challenge their Governors for solution. Muslims being locked down shouldn't be a national emergency, it isn't a federal Concern!

Y’all want the lockdown and you got it, how do you enforce lockdown without palliatives?

U can see say all the money donated Na audio, just to get kickbacks and tax waiver from the gov

USA has injected over 3 trillion dollar in her economy, and most countries that are on lockdown, there food bank is alive, what bout our silos? ( why should FG control SiLos) how much has our government giving out as palliatives not to talk of helping S.M.Es, but we have heard countless stories of misappropriation of public funds set aside for this

You’re on lockdown, but your politicians still get paid...

Industries have been shutdown, companies are not working, and the price of crude oil is below a dollar... stupid government shutting down economy without backup plan

It’s a long road and we should brace up, allow people work, you don’t enforce lockdown without testing on a large scale

For those wondering, civil service state is a Nigerian phrase used to describe a useless and unprofitable state. They have produce nothing and have nothing doing. Most of the top employees in the state work with the state and local government civil service.

The governors always depend on Abuja for their monthly allocation. Most other states do too, but these ones totally depend on Abuja.

No money from Abuja equals no salaries.

Then entire state comes to a standstill since traders, farmers and everyone else depend on civil servants to spend to keep the money going round.

A good example is Bauchi, as the civil servant quoted mentioned up there.

Other states like Ebonyi, Sokoto, Ekiti, Taraba, Jigawa, Katsina, Borno and Yobe also fall under this category. Most states do actually but these ones are the few of the most affected.

Shame on the governors of those states.

Lol @ Ponzi. I am actually referring to the government workers. Most of them are quite lazy and without a plan B. All they think about is how to embezzle, take bribes and wait for the salary that they did not work for.

Next time take control of your destiny, get enlightened so that you can depart from the club of 'hope they will...' and instead order goverment around to do the right thing at the right time.

I think you can appreciate the difference in the quality of governance round the world when even smaller, poorer countries are handling this crises a lot better. Sentiment can only take us so far.

Poor quality citizenship will not take us anywhere except certainly place us at the base of the league of Covid 19 fighting nations because of what we do at the polls every four years and in society everyday.
