A man who emphasized on keeping strictly to these rules as stipulated by the government was killed by his neighbour at Mafoluku area of Oshodi, Lagos State of Nigeria.

Taiwo Eluyemi, the man who was killed usually had his neighbours at his house watching either Football or Movies but on Wednesday, he sent them out because they were so much and were not observing social distancing order enacted by the state government to curb the spread of the virus. Little did he know that one of his neighbors identified as Habeeb, who he had a misunderstanding with sometimes back, was irked by his action and nursed a plan to get back at him. Both of them had an altercation before Habeeb left Eluyemi's apartment



According to reports, the deceased who is popular on the street, went to his church within the area on Thursday to pick up his son and was returning home when he was allegedly attacked with a cutlass by Habeeb, and thereafter bled to death. Habeeb was subsequently arrested and handed over to the police.



Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state police command, Bala Elkana, said the suspect currently in police custody and investigation into the matter is ongoing.
