The World Health Organization (W.H.O) through its Director-General, Dr. Tedros Adhanom said the current COVID-19 lockdown being put in place across many countries of the world will not lead to a reduction in the overall spread of coronavirus.

This he said in a conference held at W.H.O headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. The conference was organized by the leadership of the World Health Organization to fast track the possibility of putting an end to the rapid spread of coronavirus across the world.

Dr. Tedros further stated that the lockdown imposed on the populace will only lead to restrictions in the formal setting while creating multiple avenues for infected persons to further spread the disease among their families and friends.

He went further to reiterate the need for people to imbibe the habit of using personal protective equipment (P.P.E) such as nose masks, hand gloves, protective coats, and the application of alcohol-based hand sanitizers, and as well as frequent hand washing.

According to him, the only possible way to break the chain reaction is to emphasize more on absolute self-isolation throughout the incubation period of the virus without any form of direct and indirect physical contact with others.

The World Health Organization representative from the United States Dr. Brett Giroir also stated that plans are currently underway to completely lift the total COVID-19 lockdown order put in place by President Donald Trump.

“We are working with the relevant authorities to ensure that this currently imposed lockdown is lifted in order for economic activities to resume fully” said Dr. Brett.

The health body (W.H.O) is calling on all world leaders to look critically at the negative implication that could arise from this lockdown, most especially in third world countries with a failing economy.
Chinse representatives at the conference hinted that economic activities have bounced back in mainland China after spending about 3 months in lockdown without any apparent reduction in the number of coronavirus cases.

According to them, the Chinese government decided to lift the restriction order after no evidence of relief from the pandemic due to lockdown.

Speaking with journalists at the end of the conference, Dr. Tedros highlighted that since the lockdown in China was lifted, there has been a significant reduction in the number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in the country.

Last week there was a publication on the Chinese most popular social media website “Wechat” which revealed that for the past 3 weeks there were no new cases of coronavirus nationwide, and with a massive decline in death rate owing to the virus.

These positive improvements came into reality immediately after the nationwide lockdown was lifted.

According to researchers at the Centre for Disease Control (CDC), physical inactivity in the human body tends to provide a fertile ground for the virus to thrive, thereby giving rise to multiple drug-resistant copies of the COVID-19 pathogen.

Some of the confirmed cases whose conditions appear to be mild are usually placed on simple and basic physical exercises as a strategy for weakening the strength and replicative ability of the virus.
According to the World Health Organization, it should be noted that if it were possible to eradicate the coronavirus outbreak through a nationwide lockdown, the Chinese would have conquered the virus in no time.

WHO speaking front back and front.
WHO lockdown should not be lifted
WHO lockdown only prevent formal spreading
WHO only the care givers should put on nose covers
WHO PPE which includes nose covers can only prevent the spread.

Take it or leave it. There is more to this pandemic than what we are been fed. I've been trying to know the difference between Trump and WHO lately and to be candid there is none or let's say both are using try and error approach.

W.H.O is just speaking with both sides of their mouth. They need to maintain a particular position.

Thrash coming from the head of the most influential international health organization. First they said COVID-19 was airborne, later they denied it. They asked us to stay indoors and practice social distancing; and now they are changing tunes again. The WHO is the reason why coronavirus became a pandemic. They completely played politics by not listening to warnings from Taiwan.

You guys need to confirm the authenticity of this news. Am sure WHO didn't dish out all the trash in this post. They can't be so stupid to start issuing contradictory directives in the space of few weeks. Believe the news at you own peril.
