DTSG REASSURES INVESTORS OF ENABLING BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT

By Oghenero Orovwuje

The Delta State Government said it will continue to support private businesses to grow the economy of the state.

The Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Mr Chiedu Ebie made this known when he received a donation of hand sanitizers and other sanitary products on behalf of the state government, from Olite Manufacturing Company Limited, Asaba.

The donation, it was gathered, was part of the company's contribution to support the state government in containing the COVID-19 pandemic.

The SSG said the importance of the private sector in any state could not be overemphasized, stating that the state government had created an enabling environment for genuine investments to thrive.

Mr Ebie said that the government of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa was ready to partner with serious minded investors who would complement her efforts in bringing rapid development to the state in line with the Stronger Delta Mantra of the administration.

He thanked the management of the company for deeming it fit to support government at this trying time.

Mr Ebie used the occasion to calli on other investors in the state, good spirited Deltans and friends of the state to support the government, saying it could not do it alone.

Earlier, the Managing Director of Olite Manufacturing Company Limited, Asaba, Mr John Nwabueze said that the donation was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility, saying that the business was domiciled in the state.

He equally urged other private sector businesses in the state to support the state government in whatever way they could in containing the COVID-19 pandemic.
