The National Directorate of Employment Recruitment of 774,000 Employees from all local Governments of the federation
The National Directorate of Employment is empowered to operate as an employment creation agency statutorily charged with the mandate to design and implement job creation programmes that will promote attitudinal change, employment generation, reduce poverty and enhance wealth generation.
To relieve the effects of the Coronavirus Pandemic to assist citizens who might have lost their job as a result of the coronavirus disease in the country. The President has approved the Special Public Works Program as part of the Federal Government’s effort to provide jobs to an unemployed person either employable or self-employed, since unemployment is dynamic in its forms and patterns, regular innovative strategies are required to tackle it effectively
The Special Public Works employment is a three months initiative and the programme is expected to run between October to December 2020. The essence of the exercise is to assist citizens who are affected by the covid-19 outbreak. This is thus aimed at relieving people who might have lost their job as a result of the Coronavirus disease in the country. The employment is believed to engage at least one thousand people each from the 774 local governments in the country.

STIPEND AND COMMISSION:
The exact payment structure for the job has not been announced but around #60 billion was released for the stipends and operational cost. Mathematically, the payment should run into some few thousands of naira per month like other social investment program.

REQUIREMENTS FOR NATIONAL DIRECTORATE OF EMPLOYMENT RECRUITMENT:
The basic educational certificates are requirement and majorly the skills possessed. In the recruitment form, there are columns for school and institutions attended. This means that at least a primary six certificates and upward is necessary.
