If I were you, I'd send my passport to Abuja VFS or Niamey VFS (Niger). Preferably Niamey VFS. That is if you have the extra money to spend on transmission fee and courier charges. It may be worth the hassle if you want to get your passport back soon. Lagos VFS should be a last resort except you are not in a hurry to travel.

is mid Dec too far?

I don't know how long it would take but many of those who sent their passports to Lagos VFS are yet to get them back. No one knows how Lagos VFS works these days. If you expect to travel mid-December then you may comfortably use Lagos VFS.

Okay. Thanks

Travellers to Canada aren’t required to do a Covid19 test or to even show a negative test. However, it depends on the airline you decide to use. Some airlines specifically request for a negative Covid19 test

Hello everyone,

I’ve been following this thread for a bit.

I had PPR last week Tuesday and sent my passport to VFS lagos on Thursday which got delivered on Friday but till now, I don’t know if it’s been processed or not. I’ve called almost everyday of the week and they keep saying they’ll send my tracking number by “end of day”. Honestly, it’s just annoying how they operate in Lagos.

This is the point I made in my earlier post. Lagos VFS is highly INCOMPETENT! They don't seem to understand that they're dealing with people's official travelling documents. The tracking system they have is inefficient. They are slow to act. They don't even have good customer care services. The plain truth is that if your passport is already there, just remove your mind and hope for the best. If not, consider your options well before sending your passport there. That's the worst VAC in the world, as far as I know.

Hello,

I would advise you send an email to the following email addresses with your full name as it written on your international passport and the date DHL confirmed it was delivered to them. You can also attach DHL acknowledgement slip + a screenshot of DHL confirmation of delivery.

Hope this helps

Thank you Japh11 for your response.

Additionally, did you also send this new consent form to them (VFS) before they mailed your parcel back to you?

Japh11:

Track your return parcel to check if they have received it. I also paid for two way courier and I have been tracking it . It showed that they've collected my passport and it's on transit to me. They do honour two way courier dont pay any extra in-house fee if you did a two way courier. If peradventure your passport is ready and it hasn't been picked up. Do well to contact the courier service you used.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Whispering: 5:01pm On Nov 13, 2020
Hello UBCcookies,

Which city did you send your parcel from and how much did it cost you?

UBCcookies:
For the record people, UPS is way cheaper than DHL.

Hello, please can someone help me out
I applied to Centennial college for Global business Management, May 2021. I got a mail back that I had to pay a deposit before I could get an acceptance letter.
After going through the tuition fees breakdown the school sent to me, I realized that there are cheaper courses I could take in the same school.
I wanted to ask if it’d be wise to send a mail to Centennial College that I would like to change my course.

Yes, you can go ahead and ask for a change of course but please give them good reason for requesting for a change. I did the same.

Also, yes. I paid initial deposit of 2650cad before my acceptance letter was given.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by LordAA(m): 5:14pm On Nov 13, 2020
UBCcookies:
Yes, got it yesterday

Hello

Please did you receive it after receiving the counterfoil?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Sharonyeah: 5:15pm On Nov 13, 2020
@Just Mello

Hope you're making the right choice or have a clear reason (for the VO) for choosing an AD. Try flywire or get a trusted person in Canada to help out.

My brother, yes. I already made the initial payment deposit of 2650 CAD before realising that it may not be the best decision.

I however did my best to give strong points in my SOP. The only thing I did was to quickly asked for a change of course to a related course and explained why I needed that for my career progression which I was granted.

I am trusting God for the best.

I want to know how to generate the visa refusal letter in order to claim tuition deposit from the College. Thank you
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by 1oak: 6:17pm On Nov 13, 2020
Thanks for the reply. Please how do I generate Mybankstatement from Ecobank and Zenith bank in my area don’t seem to know what it is when I walked in. Please is there a particular way to generate Mybankstatement?

fratermathy:

They've started Nigeria Student Express? That's interesting. Based on what is here, you have to generate a MyBankStatement ticket with proof of finance for one year and then enroll for IELTS. However, as this is a choice, you could opt for normal processing.

If you have an online banking account, you can generate it from there. For Zenith Bank, you can even generate it from your mobile application.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by 1oak: 6:38pm On Nov 13, 2020
thanks for helping, actually, I submitted two accounts Ecobank personal account (which has the more funds) and Zenith Bank (company account). But when I walked into both banks branch they said they didn’t know what that is. So just confused

Has it been updated on your visa portal that you have been denied. If yes, the denial letter can be downloaded there. all you have to do is send a mail to your school admission office letting them know you have been denied visa, then tell them you wise to get your tuition paid refunded. Attach the denial letter to the mail as proof you were denied. FYI, the tuition will be sent to the account the tuition was paid from

JustMellow:

Hello MOKENN,

If you feel you can't catch up with classes at this time, and the school is hell-bent on their decision, the only option is to either reapply for same or closely related program on the ground if the admission is cancelled or check else where for similar or related program.

Your application has been approved, so no worries.

All the best
Thanks @Justmellow
Please any idea of schools with relatively easy admission MEng?
