Anambra State Government Has Ordered The Reopening Of Churches, Food Markets, by Foreignnews: 4:13am On Apr 27, 2020
Anambra State Government has ordered the reopening of churches, food markets, drugs markets, restaurants and bars across the state.

Governor Willie Obiano announced this while briefing journalists on the situation against Covid 19 fight in the state, at Aguleri, Anambra East Local Government Area.

The State Governor, who also ordered the reopening of intra-city movements, advised Churches to commence worship in observance of social distancing and other Covid 19 safety measures.

Gov Obiano explained that all the results of the 36 direct contacts of the index case discharged recently have turned out negative and that all state boundaries remain closed, charging all persons moving on the streets of the state to wear facemask.

The State Governor said he will meet with market leaders to determine whether other markets would be opened.

“Today makes it 28 days since we locked all our markets. As result, I have scheduled a meeting with the leaders of all the markets in Anambra State for Monday, April 27, 2020 to review our position and agree on when to reopen our markets.
