Number of deaths compared to number of infected persons
You are the one that said it is " HIGH".

What is the figure that made you draw that conclusion?
High compared to what?

I share your sentiments.
But many Nigerians are lawless as long as you ease that lockdown for now I won't be suprised if the cases increase oo
My point exactly. With the lockdown the cases keep rising this much without it....... Only God can deliver us.

Must u always wish dem bad??

Is not wish. lts glaring reality. Am concern because l know something we don't know is happening there.

The Lab was shut down bcs there was an infection among the staff since then no release of results from the state.

Amajiris sent to Kaduna from Kano tested positive yesterday.

Mysterious death was reported and they told us its Malaria and BP.

It's obvious there are concern there .Let them do proper testing and let's be sure of status then we will confirm. ....

Nigerians cannot practice social distancing.
Government should not relax the lockdown.
Use the monies collected for the masses. Share to everyone, provide food. Then do aggressive mass testing.
Nigerians cannot practice social distancing.
Lagos is going to explode. Abuja too.

But becos we have greedy, wicked corrupt leaders, I know the palliative wont even reach 10 percent of the masses. Brace up for zombie apocalypse esp in lagos.

What metrics do you use to know we're progressing? No results from Kano the second most populated city due to lack of test kits.
You and kano.even if results came,it won't exceed that of Lagos

You know very little about this pandemic. You are talking about peaking based on what statistic? You are talking about peaking based on how many inquiries (tests), sampling volume and distribution? In Nigeria what we have done statistically is next to insignificant. And it is from statistics conclusions are drawn, not from emotions.

It is like a VIO officer says every car is road worthy or an FRSC officer claims to his boss that every Nigerian has a drivers license because he has checked ten vehicles and drivers since January.

How can you make auch a damning conclusion on such paltry number of samples. Like I asked last week. Can you make an important business investment decision when you have leass that 0.05 percent of the data at hand. Will you spend the only money you have in the bank to buy those eggs to raise poultry chicks if you are told only 0.05 percent of them have been tested for sterility.... nawa oh.
Oga,in Nigeria we are not doing random testing but efficient or targeted testing of people who came back from abroad between February till April and those they contacted.these are the people who brought the virus here. Therefore,he is correct. 90% of these targets have been tested and traced so we can make an informed decision based on them.you don't expect us to test everyone in Nigeria

Where I will completely agree with you is that I am overrating the government because it is clear they are lost.

How can this government have a budget of N60 Billion set aside for the employment of Gutter cleaners and then want us to believe no money for a Comprehensive War Against Covid-19 programme. It is baffling?

Why not channel this money appropriately? If Senegal can target producing 2 million kits to test, it is a big lie making us believe we can not do it. It is just the wrong pilot on the Covid-19 war battle plane.

N60 Billion set aside for Government Gutter cleaners is best channeled for Covid-19 fight. From Local production of kits most especially, drugs and stimulus packages.

We still have the $50 million from EU which I think is about N22 billion. A discussion with the CACOVID can also release funds.

I doubt funds is the problem but preferential use of it to optimum results.

when it comes to disaster mgt and humanitarian causes, we are grossly incompetent as a people, case in point is boko haram and the idps issue. Let's forget all the big grammar, we are gradually loosing our humanity as nation. What we do well is party and party hard. All those funds you are mentioning, we know how it will end. Just protect yourself and your family bro. keep safe and worry less about Nigerians, a country on lockdown and complaining about hunger, yet some folks still went to spend cash on strippers. We are just bunch of jokers, Local production of test kits? common that's never gonna happen, we are not that humane enough.

Simple question what is the death rate in Nigeria?
You are telling stories.
simple,if Nigeria has 1,300 cases with 40 deaths, divide 40 by 1,300 multiplied by 100 giving you a death rate of 3.2% in Nigeria when the world average should be 1.5%.On the other hand Ghana has a total confirmed caseof 1,500 with 11 deaths so dividing 11 by 1,500 multiplied by 100 gives you a death rate of 0.7% which is far below the world average which means Ghana is doing far better. You not testing massively will lead to people dying before they're tested positive or their health deteriorating or critical before being tested.
