Michelle Obama took to her social media pages to announce the release of a documentary film on Netflix based on the experiences she encountered after writing her memoir, “Becoming.”

The documentary feature which is set to be released on Netflix by May 6 is directed by Nadia Hallgren and produced by the Higher Ground production company run by former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama, which has an exclusive pact with Netflix. The memoir “Becoming” was released in the fall of 2018 and quickly became the bestselling hardcover book of that year and has sold more than 10 million copies.
