There is no point paying him since he already threatened you with charge back, even if he denies the threat he may still charge it back.

My suggestion is that you hold the funds for 195 days, PayPal will usually charge back within 180 days, the extra 15 days is to generate interest for you from the money for the inconveniences caused.
