Mhen!

I hope they can sustain the control of people that will want to use the slightest opportunity to leave the house just out of boredom.

Nothing is wrong with the government of Kano. They are only being reasonable. Kano is a commercial city. People work to feed themselves for "THAT DAY". You think people would stand to watch themselves hungry?? It's like you don't realize that HUNGER KILLS FASTER THAN CORONA VIRUS
Re: BREAKING: Kano Government Relaxes Lockdown, Announces Free Days by Throwback: 6:34pm On May 02, 2020
It is now that Kano will suffer for its own inherited shortcomings.

A large population who are under the shackles of religious culture, poverty and habitual disorderliness, is a recipe for chaos.

People should not blame the Governor. If he did not succumb to the demands of a vast, hungry, and religious mob, it could have resulted to a toppling of the constitutional government. The same way such mobs have overran police stations to lynch suspects who have been accused of blasphemy.

Don't blame the Governor, for without such illogical and irrational concessions, his regime would have ended before the next weekend.

However, it is very promising seeing that most Northern governors are employing the current chaos as an opportunity to correct some of the archaic habits that have been previously resisted, like the Almajiri problem.

As a sound administrator, never let an opportunity to employ a prevailing chaos to effect resisted change pass by.

All those shouting "stay at home", "maintain social distancing" are those that have their homes STOCKED UP WITH FOOD. When you are without food, you'll understand that some things/policies can just never work in Nigeria (at least the Nigeria of now).

For Ganduje, it is religion over life undecided

Unfortunately, Buhari shares same sentiment.

Ganduje is crazy. People are dying daily like flies in the state and this useless governor still don’t get the seriousness of the situation. At this rate, we should be looking at over 1m infections and over 100k deaths. God help Kano.
Re: BREAKING: Kano Government Relaxes Lockdown, Announces Free Days by Nobody: 6:42pm On May 02, 2020
You can siphon funds, but NEVER YOU TELL NIGERIANS TO STAY AT HOME AMIDST HUNGER. Especially in a situation where there's no "adequate food " to give to them. The government sef is very thoughtful and wise.
