A security man in a market in Onitsha, Anambra State , Ibuchi Nwoju, has allegedly killed a resident over face mask. The 22 -year -old victim , Cletus Chisom , was said to have been stabbed in the chest with a knife by his assailant . The incident happened yesterday 4th April 2020, at COCA-COLA Market Onitsha, Anambra State. It was gathered that the deceased’ s sister was at the market with her mother to purchase some items when the suspect confronted her for not putting on a face mask. The mother was said to have bought the face mask for her daughter after the suspect insisted that she would only be allowed into the market wearing a face mask. Trouble began after the girl reportedly rushed home and mobilised her brother , who came to attack the suspect . “ It was during the brawl that the suspect drew a knife and stabbed the deceased in the chest, leading to his death,” The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Haruna Mohammed, who confirmed the incident, said that the Commissioner of Police, John Abang, had ordered the transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department , Awka, for discreet investigation. https://punchng.com/security-guard-kills-anambra-man-over-face-mask/ |

What a way to die over rubbish. Face mask? 95% of ppl in Nigeria seriously need to undergo a mental evaluation. Or better yet visit a developed country and stay there for at least 3 months....  |

The mother and her daughter's stubbornness led to the death of the young boy. But on the other hand, does that security guard really has a basic security training before been employed by the market? I thought I read on the news fews days ago that Anambra state govt trained the markets taskforce in readiness of yesterday's opening of the markets there? RIP to the dead |
