A court sitting in Katsina State on Tuesday sentenced a 70-year-old man, Lawal Izala, to 1½ years (18 months) imprisonment.

Izala was arrested last week for allegedly insulting President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Aminu Masari.

The septuagenarian and two others were arraigned for inciting disobedience to civil authorities and disrespect to authorities through demeaning utterances.

Next time use Bubu to insult the President, that way he can't sue... na wa someone cannot express ánger again. But the system is unfair the man said he was attacked, family yamutu, cow rustle ...the judge should have been considérate.

Someone that lost all his family members and his cows to bandits, out of anger and hopelessness insulted Buhari and his governor who are both under oath to protect him and his property, is now being sentence to prison.
Some supposedly human still praises this action of our President forgetting that equal recompense awaits them sooner or later.
