Re: Urhobo Waado. by Odisco2(m): 7:02pm On Jan 22, 2010
@misjulez. The second is better than the first. This one is more beta "odeme oye juliety". The reason of adding "Y" to your name is that we pronounce juliet in urhobo tone.
Tivo wo dia ( where do you live)

Wokobiruo (thank u) u.k or any european country is called "INÖKO" Pronounce thus " INORKO)
Urhobo vowel sound - a e ë i o ö u. The a sounds "ar" eg Akpevwe. E sounds "e" eg Ejiro. Ë sounds ee long vowel eg- ejere(road). I- sounds "ie" eg ikpamaku ( roofing zinc). O sounds "o" eg Odiri (that is my name). Ö sounds "or" eg Oghene (GOD). U sounds "who" eg ukpe (age) ufouma(peace) ukpokpoma ( trouble)
Re: Urhobo Waado. by MissJulez(f): 1:52am On Jan 25, 2010
@Odisco2 Wokobiro for all your help, its going to take me a while to get used to the vowel sounds, but most of the things you used as examples i understood, how do i reply if somebody ask's been where i have been "tivo wo rah?"
