FG urged to Make Timi Dakolo's 'We Are A Great Nation', COVID-19 Theme Song

The federal government has been urged to officially recognize Timi Dakolo's song 'We are a great nation' as the National song for COVID-19 in order to evoke patriotism among the citizens and portray rich heritage of the country.

The call was made by the Director General of Good Leadership Support Organization ( GLSO Nigeria) Bridget Torbua Igbauke (@bridgettorbua) in a Press release yesterday in Abuja.

She said the song will go a long way to remind the people of Nigeria's glory, unity, beauty and rich heritage even as the country goes through the struggle to defeat the global pandemic in Nigeria and the without prejudice to other musicians.

"The song will serve as a constant reminder to obey and adhere to the measures put in place by the authorities to help curb the spread of the virus.

"As we go through the pains we been handed and confronted with by the Global Pandemic Covid- 19, the great nation song will remind us to more united, without gender prejudices, it will remind that the labour of our heros past shall never be in vain, and it will remind us of who we truely are as a nation. The lyrics will be our shield in the battle against the virus ,and when we remember those words, we will test no defeat, " she added.
