To my story

I started the process in 2018. I wanted to pursue my masters in Computer Science and I targeted fall 2019.

I made use of LinkedIn well. Connected with many Nigerians studying in the USA especially in my field. I had conversations with many of them and they were helpful. Then I prepared for GRE and TOEFL, used 3 months to study for both. I drafted statement of purposes for all the schools. This took months. Sent them to senior colleagues and those that had gone before me to read through and give feedback.

I did WES evaluation of my BSc transcript. Then I searched for schools online using https://www.4icu.org/us/, http://www.msinus.com/content/, https://www.usnews.com/education and others. Then I listed schools where I met requirements according to my profile. I applied to 12 schools in all. I got offer from 4 schools and one gave me full funding. Was rejected by 6. Didn't hear back from 2. The rejections were first to come and honestly it can weigh you down, but you have to be strong and focused on your goal and keep pressing. The day I got the email of the full funding, I wept tears of joy because all my effort eventually paid off.

The whole process is stressful honestly. It is not very easy but you have to keep going.

Hey,
I discovered that getting an undergraduate admission in the UK is more easier than that of the US more so for Nigerians ( probably because we were colonized by them). But here, I dont understand how to apply for admission and scholarship through UCAS.

Do you know about admission process in the UK? If you do please help me out!

And one more thing please. Is studying in the UK worth it? Or i should just work more to study in US due to the more advantages they seem to possess over the UK? Thank you

Are you worried about funding your graduate program in the US, Canada, UK or Australia?

I am not in connection with this. I don't know who this individual is.

My advice is You can always do the process yourself. Many people like myself have gotten full scholarships abroad by doing what was required by ourselves. Don't waste your money and avoid scammers fam smiley

Eniola your YouTube videos are very helpful, I suggest that you make videos for your personal expenses as an international student in Clarksville,TN (how much you spend for rent, utilities, groceries etc.)
Also, A day in your life at APSU and your experience as a graduate teaching assistant.
I don’t think you have videos for those.

Like your smiles in the videos anyways smiley

Thank you smiley
I have made videos about them especially about my apartment, my school, and how graduate assistants can survive regarding bills. Go check all my playlists. Thanks again.

Sure , you made a video about your apartment and I have watched it and all those on your playlist (very nice videos) but my point is the cost aspect and certain details. (Maybe coz i deal with numbers everyday Lolx)

Eg. How much you pay per month for that apartment (that wasn’t mentioned) ,also how much you spend on groceries (Eg.where you shop and expenses etc.) and utility bills (Eg. Network you even use and it charges etc.) and your experience as a teaching assistant (Eg. How you coped with accent, where the students stubborn ,how you felt first time before this white “kids” etc.)
I think it will be helpful to prospective folks out there

N/B : It just a suggestion ,I know it’s not easy making these videos
Thank you
