So this is going to be one long read. Actually an excerpt from a book I'm working on. Here I'll try to use the cultural progressions evident in Nigeria to trace a possible common historicity from the Annang/Oro/Efik/Ibibio of the far southeastern through the Akpa/Aro-OkeIgbo/Igbo to Igala to the North, Urhobo-Ijaw-Esan-Bini to the west and then the Omo Ooduas.

Long story, if I take my time this story would stretch to as far as the Ewe people of Ghana but I'll concentrate on Nigeria for now.
