Anti-social behaviour, abuse of office, and corruption are perpetrated on a large scale in this country, and have reached an all-time mark. Activists, journalists, and protesters get detained by law enforcement agents for months on end.

This disorder is best attributed to a lack of appropriate and adequate education, which is affecting our nation's development in terms of political, scientific, technological, economic, and social development.

A real and responsible government understands that our educational system cannot remain irrelevant to our environment.

Adequate quantities of all educational materials and equipments must be provided for institutions of learning, across Nigeria. Government must do sufficient spending on education.

Our Universities and Colleges will enjoy academic freedom, once government provides inexpensive education. We have had situations where illiterate members of the National Assembly remain glued to their seats, contented with putting up appearance and either sleeping or looking at the mouth and faces of debaters during sessions. They sheepishly follow 'their leaders' to vote 'Ayes' and 'Nays'.
