Lagos,

We are at a critical point in the management of the #COVID19 pandemic in our state and every resident needs to #TakeResponsibility for their health and wellbeing.

As citizens, we have a great burden upon us, to behave responsibly. These times demand a lot from us, in terms of actions and behaviours that may not be comfortable. It is difficult to adjust to the changes, but adjust, we must.

As a government elected to uphold the security of its citizens, which includes health security, we will not hesitate to review the terms of #EasingTheLockdown if we do not see an improvement in the adherence to our public health guidelines over the next couple of days.

Despite massive advocacy, it is disappointing to see the crowd at banks & markets across the state flouting the guidelines.

We will be forced to take the painful decision of bringing the state under lockdown if it remains clear that Lagosians are determined to flout the rules.

In the weeks ahead, there will be a change in our isolation strategy as we transition towards decentralization.

We will be introducing community management of cases by accrediting primary healthcare facilities for the management of mild-to-moderate cases of #COVID19 patients.

Low compliance with the guidelines by operators of commercial buses and the flouting of the directive by commercial motorcycles will not be tolerated and the security agencies have been directed to confiscate any motorcycle seen flouting the rules.

Getting rid of #COVID19 in our state must be a collective responsibility. It is not something government can do alone. We must all do our part.

The wearing of a face mask in public is not a suggestion. It is a necessity and mandatory.

We remain committed towards strengthening our capacity in combating the pandemic and I want to thank our frontline medical and emergency workers for their amazing sacrifice.

We will beat this.

But everyone must do their part.

Stay safe and #TakeResponsibility.

Wike and El Rufai no dey talk big big grammar... they are manning their state entry point themselves not trusting the citizens or the police

I hate to admit that Wike's lawless approach might be what Nigeria needs, afterall that was what China did to Wuhan, forgetting any useless noise from human right groups

Americans with all their useless Human Right Groups, Stupid Protest and Conspiracy Theorist calling it an Hoax and thinking its a joke has lost 70,000 souls , in simple contrast 2977 died in world trade center bombing 70,000 died due to corona, 4,244 Americans died in both Iraqi and Afghanistan war , still corona killed 70,000 in less than 4 months

even if world would end tomorrow some silly people would still be calling it conspiracy theory and hoax, till the dooms day begins,

Lagos should better not go the line Kano, Jigawa, and Bauchi are going because life sweet gidigan ni for Lasgidi and death is not an option

Nigerians are very stubborn people!

There was a lockdown they whined and said the Govt was insensitive! They said okay we would ease the lockdown, all you gotta do would be to wear facemasks and gloves, we said okay!

Lockdown was eased and people flouted these rules , refused to wear face Masks, gloves and observe social distancing! Most Nigerians are foolish, stupid and ignorant!

Sanwo olu please lock us Down for 5 months except there's an improvement before then, then throw the keys into the Atlantic ocean!

WE GO LEARN BY FORCE

Reactive leadership occurs when you don't plan ahead to handle problems or opportunities. By reacting to situations only as they arise, you may fail to avoid a crisis or exploit a chance to succeed,we only react to situations in this country, the covid issue should not have escalated up to this level, but here we are. My question is that ,what is this government doing to Find a cure to this virus?, which research are we embarking upon to put an End to this scourge? it appears the solution government has is to keep people lock down...without a visible solution, we are still waiting for the West to find a cure

Anticipated.

I went to market today and realized that many people aren't bothered about this covid 19, many buyers and sellers without face mask.

No form of social distancing maintained.

This same set of people will start screaming if another lockdown is enforced. They will or have ended up jeopardizing govt efforts for the past 6 weeks.

By next week Lagos will likely be having around 800 cases per day. And the way things are happening in the north is another huge problem.

Good thing I already have my international passport

I’m 100% sure most private offices are working with 100% staffs. Nobody wants to be the stupid one to sit back doing unapproved holiday at home while others show up to work.

Too many people going out for unnecessary things.

Social distancing is almost non existent in Lagos especially in banks and markets. They shud only open 1 or 2ce a week same to other offices for now.

Lawlessness, ignorance, stubborness is having a field day in Lagos. People don't observe the simple rule of wearing nose cover and observe social distancing. The security agents are not helping matters either hence milk the masses through bribe at various check points. Also, Motorists ( Danfo & Keke riders) have thrown caution to the wind with full capacity of passengers in their respective vehicles and ignore the preventive measures of the pandemic spread.

I already sense that there will be another lockdown. The lockdown should immediately take full effect.

This man has brilliant advisers and he listens to them.

The primary healthcare centers if trained and protected should be able to handle chloroquine / Remdesivir, vitamin C, carrot and insha Allah.
