Last week, Muslimsworld reported that the United States of America has plans to deport a Iranian professor Sirous Asgari who was once accused of stealing trade secrets. Iranian has now announced that they are ready to have a prisoner exchange with the US, this statement was released by Iranian official Ali Rabiei.

“We are ready to exchange Iranian and American prisoners and we are prepared to discuss this issue but Americans have not responded yet, We are worried about the safety and health of Iranians in jail ... We hold America responsible for Iranians’ safety amid the new coronavirus outbreak. There is no need for a third country to mediate between Iran and America for the prisoner exchange” Rabiei said according to Khabaronline.

Although United States government has not given any official report concerning this new development.

In 2018, Iran arrested a US navy veteran Micheal White but early this month his release was secured on medical grounds but he has not left Iran just as the US plans to deport professor Asgari.
